Today we're off to start the shopping process for a new van for MIL; the transmission is going on her old one. Car shopping, yay! I actually like it. :) I think it shocks my husband because when I'm ready to buy I BUY. It will be hard not to close the deal today if we find the right van. (And actually the process started a few weeks ago with visits to Consumer Reports to look at reliability and so forth.)

You know it! And it was funny reading CR on minivans. All those reviews and they boiled down to "the Honda and the Toyota are great; everything else suxxors!"

We didn't buy today. Mostly because there's not enough difference between the Honda and the Toyota to let us make up our minds. Minor things wrong with both, a lot right with both. None of us could choose between them. So now we need to see which will have the better price, and that's more time than we had for today. (Plus MIL needs to get the van cleaned out for trade.)
